my HOMAGE to 1 of the Greats!!! (In my opinion)

Okay sooooo I have this person that when anyone asks me I just blurt it out....who I admire in the fashion world....who inspires me (fashion & design wise) and one of those people are RALPH LAUREN!!!!!


That man has been around for EONS!!! and he just keep on getting better and better with every year. I have to say one of my favorite Collections was the 2008 Spring/Fall Collection.........*sigh* when I saw this collection {I will put in pictures} I honestly couldn't believe that he did it to me.....he made me like floral prints!!! When I think of floral print (that used to be a bad word to me)........**yes I said it** I used to actually just have no emotion on my face when asked if I would wear it....but after seeing that collection my attention was piqued and I couldn't help but experiment with it.

Here are a few of the floral prints I mentioned earlier: 

 I have never seen anyone make black floral and black & white striped look so sexy

 You know this is something you would wear if it was a nice spring wedding...just imagine the possibilities....lols

This one was sooo good a well known actress *coughing....BLAKE LIVELY* wore it in an episode for "Gossip Girl" and it's sooo funny that before I even knew who made the outfit, I actually thought in my head.....(whoever made that I would actually buy from them...they made floral look gooooooood) and come to find out it was the one and only Ralph Lauren.....you know my heart was rejoicing like crazy.....yeeeeah man!

Any way.....not to stray from the topic....so he made floral look hooottt and then in the same breath Mr. Ralph Lauren made me just smh at the fact that he made me want to be a jockey almost because of the way these designs were put together.....

Case in point....

Now take a look at THAT and tell me your mouth doesn't just water......*shiver* he made a woman look so feminine in one breathe and then turn her into a sophisticated woman in the next....and then turn around and make you feel for the strangest pair of pants a woman could wear (only because pants are not normally shaped that way. Come on man....who else could do something that creative......smh....I will tell you who.....(all my sisters from another mother....and other churches that know my style know who I'm talking about...I'll save that for another topic).....You have to have vision.....and he my friends...................has it!

Anyway....let me stop right now....I'll continue on him another time.....don't want to over do you with him (for now).........lols to one of the greatest!!!!

The start of something................

So it took like forever in the making....me telling others what to do in order to move forward and me not taking my own advice....well I'm kind of tired of others moving forward and me staying dormant....so here goes the start of something for myself....yes I said it myself.....too bad for you if you don't like the way it sounds.

I'm at a point in my life (28 right now) where I could give a rats a** about what another person is going to think about what I wear, what I like, who I like, where I go, and especially what I do. For too long others have had a say in my life in what I should do...I think it's time I started doing what I wanted....especially since doing what other wanted hasn't gotten me anywhere except feeling like I haven't accomplished anything much.



So if you're not looking forward to me speaking my mind and occasionally ranting on here then please find another blog....if you're ready to take a look into what I'm thinking...then keep reading...you may just like what I stumble upon....alot of stuffs **yes I said stuffs** is going to be unveiled here....are you ready for the start of something................
